I'm registered. Am I all set?
Not quite! You also need to book your stay at the Radisson - our beautiful conference location. We've arranged for special discounted rates of $119/night for a queen room or $129/night for a king (or two double beds). Book your room by calling (607) 962-5000. You cannot book your stay online and get our conference rates. You must call that number and book directly through the sales office. They will require a credit card to hold your room.

How can I help out at conference?
We are looking for people to volunteer an hour or two of their time while at conference to be a part of the Sergeant at Arms team. A Sergeant at Arms is someone who can help direct people around the facility and answer questions about the event. It's essentially just being a helping hand for conference attendees! It's fun, a great way to meet people coming to conference and a great way to pitch in for just a little while. To join the team (which means you get to wear a cool vest and hat!) you can email Clark Speicher, from Sherrill Rotary.

What is the House of Friendship?
The House of Friendship (or HOF) is a space where clubs and programs can display and share information. Each club should set up a display showcasing their most successful or biggest service project. It is also a social space where Rotarians can meet up, chat, relax and have a snack. Once again we are asking clubs to put together interesting, interactive and dynamic displays. These are much more fun for people to interact with and makes your message more memorable! We are also asking all clubs to bring snacks to contribute to the space. Please do not bring anything that requires refrigeration. All can be dropped off in the House of Friendship during registration on Friday.

How do I get a spot in the House of Friendship?
You must register for space by downloading this form and sending it in to chairperson Pam Fallesen by April 13th. Please complete the form thoroughly and reach out to Pam directly if you have any questions or need special accommodations. If you have a district program you wish to promote (as opposed to a club project), you must also complete this form!
If I've been to a conference before, will this be any different?
Every conference is different for several reasons.
First, this special weekend is designed by the District Governor, highlighting their Rotary year theme, providing education on the latest and greatest from Rotary, and with their personal touch. Since we have a new DG each year, that means a new approach to conference.
Second, the change in venue provides a different experience. There are so many fun things to see and do in Corning, including museums, shopping, wineries, golf, a spa right at the hotel and more!

We have new, inspiring speakers each year.
Entertainment is different every year.
And finally, the fellow Rotarians who attend with you will change each year as we welcome more new members to the experience. Conference is the perfect place to meet and connect with Rotarians from other clubs! Looking to form a partnership with another club on an upcoming project? Here is where you can network!
While there are many aspects of conference that are rich with tradition, there's always something exciting and new (cue Love Boat theme)!
What do my registration fees cover?
Your registration ($250/person) covers the costs of the facilities and meals for the whole weekend.
It also pays for entertainment, learning materials, swag bags, audio/visual needs, decor, signage and all of the things that go into putting together a special weekend for you. Every year there is a lot of thought and effort put into pricing conference as affordably as possible. We also announce the cost to attend an entire year in advance so hopefully people can set aside the money to join us!
What's on the menu? Is it vegetarian-friendly?

Every meal is a buffet so there is something for everyone without making it complicated. Each breakfast is a full, hot breakfast too! Please indicate when registering if you have any dietary restrictions and we will work with the hotel to ensure we can accommodate any food allergies.
What goes on at the Celebration of Life?
This special feature on Sunday morning will honor any Rotarians in our district that have passed since the last conference. We want to recognize them for their service and truly celebrate their lives. This year's program will be a little different than what we've done before too! Please let Donna Schonewetter know if your club lost anyone this past year so we can include them in the program. Email her the information and a high resolution photo of this member to dennis7150@gmail.com.

What learning topics will be covered at conference?
Once again we will be offering multiple break out sessions on a variety of topics so you can choose the ones most interesting to you. More details will be forthcoming, but our goal is provide you with truly helpful information you can bring back to your clubs and communities to make them better. We will hold learning sessions Saturday morning that are non-Rotary topics too - great for a spouse or non-Rotarian guest!
Are there activities for spouses and families at conference?
Because we are holding conference in such fun location, we encourage non-Rotarian spouses and family members to explore the area. There are many walkable places to see close-by and we will provide details on other things to do in the immediate area. If the weather is nice enough, there are golf courses and many hiking/walking trails.

There is an indoor pool and a spa at the hotel. Click here for details on spa treatments and be sure to book your service well in advance!
Will Rotarians have time to site see?
Yes! There will be more information to come on all the things you can do while in Corning. If you come early on Friday you would have time in the afternoon, there will be free time Saturday afternoon from about 1-5pm and you can stick around a while on Sunday too. If you wanted to blow glass at a couple of spots nearby, you need to do that Friday or Saturday because your item will need time to cure before you can take it home Sunday. If you want to do something like golf or hit the spa, tee times and massage appointments should be booked in advance. Prepare to be overwhelmed with all the things you can do while at conference!

Is there a hospitality room?
There isn't a hospitality room as you may remember them from years past, but we encourage Rotarians to gather together in the House of Friendship or in your own rooms after hours. There will be cookies and a seating area in the House of Friendship as well - perfect for a social space during the day. The hotel also has a restaurant/bar that you can spend time in after conference winds down at night.
