Come one and come all to Celebrate 50 Years of Rotary Youth Exchange in District 7150!
Since 1967, District 7150 has fostered the growth of International Peace, with respect and understanding across national, cultural, ethnic, racial, political and religious boundaries through Rotary Youth Exchange. Rotary Youth Exchange proves this is best accomplished, face to face, one young person at a time.
Since 1967, District 7150 has fostered the growth of International Peace, with respect and understanding across national, cultural, ethnic, racial, political and religious boundaries through Rotary Youth Exchange. Rotary Youth Exchange proves this is best accomplished, face to face, one young person at a time.
Rotarians in District 7150 have been proud supporters of Youth Exchange and its work in building bridges of friendship, peace and understanding among the peoples of the world. We have helped hundreds of young people from Central New York experience another country, another culture, and to help each of them to grow and mature as a person. They have left pieces of themselves behind in their new places, they will appreciate how much richer their lives are and gain the wisdom to continue to grow and mature. Youth have had the opportunity to “learn, see and do” as they have immersed themselves in the new cultures, learned new languages, met new people, and tried new foods. We have sent these ambassadors around the globe to serve humanity by promoting peace and international understanding.
Come celebrate with us and support the growth of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program in District 7150 for the next 50 years and beyond. There will be plenty of ways to focus on all the good that has been done for a half century with Rotary District 7150 Youth Exchange We will also be putting together a video for the event. We also invite Rotarians, Rotarian businesses and any corporate entities to consider sponsorships for this event. We will also conduct activities at the Jubilee to ensure more students have access to exchange opportunities through support of our scholarship opportunities with raffles and a silent auction. Contact Tom Taylor if you wish to be a sponsor or make a donation.
We are inviting all past (and future) exchange students to join all District 7150 Rotarians to celebrate this milestone achievement and share with us the Knowledge, Understanding, and Peace they took out to the world and what they brought home with them. Click here to register today!
District 7150 is looking for this event to be recognition not only of the students, but also of all Rotarians who have played a part in making Youth Exchange so successful. Included in our 50th Jubilee, the District Youth Exchange Program is engaged in compiling a list of all of our former exchange students (inbound and outbound) and Rotarians who have served on Youth Exchange committees or as club officers. If you know of the names/contact information for any (especially those from far back in time) please contact us with that information.
Through this event we hope to put the Rotary saying about exchange students into action… “Once an exchange student, always an exchange student”. The Rotary International Youth Exchange Program has been building peace and opening minds since 1929 and we are proud to present this celebration of all of our contributions to that program by District 7150 Rotary Youth Exchange
